What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review clinical information from providers to ensure compliance with Medical Necessity Criteria for service authorization
- Maintain knowledge of managed care contracting, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Accurately enter information into claims systems for payment processing
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure effective case management and service delivery
- Support members in navigating behavioral health and substance use resources
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master’s in Counseling, Master’s in Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Registered Nurse (RN) in Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health
- At least 1 year of case management experience
- 1 year of experience with substance use treatment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification preferred but not required
- Experience working in a managed care environment
- Familiarity with DMAS protocols and behavioral health services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting
