      Position Highlights The Admissions Counselor - Outreach is a member of a dynamic team that provides information to incoming students and supervises the Admissions Information Call Center for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions from the Main Campus in Tucson, AZ. The position supports the Admissions Customer Relations team as part of the broader Events & Customer Relations team. As part of the Events & Customer Relations team, this role also supports recruitment and outreach assignments such as presentations, event support, customer service, and daily campus visitor support.

      Duties & Responsibilities

      Actively and independently leads engagement and counseling with prospective students, counselors, parents and other constituents regarding the admission process, procedures and related academic information. Serves as a resource specialist for communication of complex and sensitive information with respect to application process, scholarship/financial aid information, and admission to the University of Arizona. Supports Customer Relations by assisting incoming students and families in a variety of modalities including but not limited to incoming calls, front desk support, responding to messaging from the Admissions email and sms inboxes, and any other customer relations tasks.

      Supervises student employees hired to assist with recruitment of incoming students via the Admissions Information Call Center
      and organizes office duties and processes specific to different roles assigned to the student employee teams.

      Participates in recruitment functions and programs as a representative of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with assignments like 1:1 Admissions counseling appointments, communication and event follow ups, recruitment outreach and other job functions that align with strategic recruitment goals. Assists with Admissions presentations during events, tours, and other recruitment activities on and off campus, as well as virtually to enhance the visitor experience for incoming students and families.

      Assists the supervisor with key reporting on a consistent basis
      and regularly reports progress, analyzes goals, and adjusts strategies as necessary in collaboration with their supervisor. Utilizes prospect management systems and reporting information to create and implement email and phone outreach in order to recruit and reach out to prospective students.

      Builds and maintains cooperative working relationships and regular communication with campus academic and student service representatives, departments, and offices on campus.

      Minimum Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
      • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
