      The Agency Data Specialist I performs FTP/download file acquisitions and agency follow up on outstanding files. The position reviews agency profiles, calendars, AFC, CDA and all information that affects automated processing of inbound/outbound files, and reviews various data sources to address issues. The role ensures accurate and timely exchange of information with tax agencies for the benefit of LERETA's Customers and their borrowers.

      Data File Ordering
      • Maintains CDA and G360 Tracking systems to ensure timely file order processing
      • Initiates the timely requests for automated agency information files
      • Requests checks from accounting based for agency file fees
      • Packages and issues appropriate requests to Tax Collectors based on ordering information obtained from agencies and stored in CDA tracking.
      • Monitors and maintains file costs and ordering information in CDA tracking
      • Performs file acquisitions via FTP/Download

      Data File Follow Up
      • Controls agency file data acquisition efforts with thorough follow up with agencies and documentation in CDA Tracking.
      • Makes Late Release U calls for updated release and due dates

      Call Report Verification
      • Partners with CDA for verification of call amounts, handle manual codes and tax information to meet department target file load dates and/or within 72 hours of file receipt, emphasizing quality and accuracy

      Bill Request and Tax Payment Processing
      • Controls the timely creation and delivery of automated Bill Request and Payment agency information files
      • Performs verification production activities on the integrity of Bill Request and Payment files prior to their delivery to agency within process parameters,
      • Performs Quality Assurance (QA) in Bill Request and Payment files and procedures

      Core Competencies
      • Ability to plan and complete daily workflow schedules in an organized fashion
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload between various assignments and duties
      • Ability to be extremely detail-oriented and organized to ensure accuracy
      • Intermediate knowledge of mainframe and PC based operating systems.
      • Ability to interpret/analyze ASCII, EBCDIC, Hexadecimal, and packed data
      • Intermediate knowledge of data acquisition and interpretation of data tape files and other information from tax agencies
      • Ability to understand agency requirements for the exchange of tax information
      • Communication ability at a level to easily interact with Agency Data Specialists, Agencies, and departmental managers
      • Organized and adept at efficient storage and retrieval of agency related documentation
      • Ability to exhibit professionalism in representing LERETA and the tax service industry
      • Ability to quickly learn to use various programs, software and operating systems.
      • Must be highly-organized and detail-oriented when performing all duties

      Required Education and Experience
      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • Knowledge of mainframe and PC based operating systems
      • Microsoft® Office SharePoint, Excel, Outlook and Word skills
      • Data entry and processing experience or equivalent business/technical knowledge

      Preferred Education and Experience
      • Experience using PC based operating systems such as: OpenText™ Global 360, Smartsheets or similar workflow or Change Management tools
      • Direct Tax Service industry experience

      This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

      Salary range: $39,056 - $68,640
