      Job Summary

      The position is responsible for analyzing information to drive strategic Health & Safety decisions and optimizing performance through data-driven insights. This role will serve as the bridge between raw data and executive strategy in Health & Safety.

      Job Responsibilities

      Data Analysis & Modeling:

      • Drive the improvement of Cemex Health & Safety data sources to increase data integrity and usability of information
      • Use Office Microsoft 365 suite (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint etc.) to maintain and continuously improve scalable and user-driven data gathering and real-time reporting according to stakeholder needs and requirements
      • Design and lead data source and query developments to increase data availability and reliability

      Dashboarding & Visualization:

      • Develop clear, actionable, self-service dashboards to present Health & Safety metrics to stakeholders
      • Provide descriptive and predictive analytics based on input from US Health & Safety Council by providing data-driven recommendations

      Data Governance & Integration:

      • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data while maintaining compliance
      • Coordinate integration of Health & Safety Information Systems (Intelex, Drive Cam, Claims, etc.) to streamline duplication and identify improvement opportunities

      Storytelling:

      • Work with Regional Health & Safety departments to develop local reports and processes via automation while translating complex data into clear, persuasive narratives
      • Train and direct users on the use of the reporting tools and capabilities
      • Develop in-depth knowledge of the industry and how it relates to the organizational needs for Health & Safety reporting

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Information Systems/Engineering/Analytics)
      • 3+ years of experience in data analytics roles
      • Experience building Dashboards in common visualization tools (Power BI, Power Apps, etc.)
      • Office 365 certification preferred

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

      • Advanced skills in Office 365 including SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI
      • Proficiency in Python
      • Expert Excel (VBA, Power Query)
      • SAP experience a plus
      • Problem solving skills with ability to analyze alternatives and recommend the best course of action
      • A solid grasp of statistical applications and methods as well as common visualization tools.
      • Independent, self-starter with the ability to lead and motivate through influence
      • Lean process and data analytics oriented
      • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
      • Proven ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines, and manage
      • Ability to thrive in a constant changing environment
      • Proven ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines, and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
      • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

      Working Conditions

      • Strong communication (both oral and written) and motivational skills
