- Develop and maintain pricing models: Create pricing structures for the organization’s services based on market research & feedback, competitor analysis, and operational costs.
- Monitor and analyze pricing data: Track market trends and adjust pricing strategies to stay competitive within the current market conditions, while ensuring profitability.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Operations teams: Provide daily pricing support for incoming customer request for quotes, bids, and contract publications.
- Cost analysis: Analyze and calculate operational accessorial costs, such as fuel, tank wash, tolls, to ensure rates cover expenses and meets profitability targets.
- Generate reports: Produce regular pricing reports and performance metrics regarding specific customers, lanes, volumes to share with senior leadership.
- Evaluate customer-specific pricing requests: Assess custom pricing requests based on factors like volume, location, and market conditions.
- Ensure pricing compliance: Ensure that all pricing practices align with company policies.
- Assist with special projects: Participate in strategic projects aimed at improving pricing efficiency and profitability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex pricing data in a clear, actionable format.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, including Sales, Operations, Safety, Billing & Contracts, and Senior Leadership.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level), ThoughtSpot, or other comparable BI tools, with experience in modeling and data analysis.
- Familiarity with mileage / routing software, such as PCMiler, is a plus.
- Knowledge of the bulk chemical industry and transportation logistics is highly desirable.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or logistics, preferably in the transportation or chemical industry.
- Experience with pricing strategy development and cost management in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:
The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing market trends, assessing customer requirements, and developing pricing quotes to optimize the profitability and competitiveness of the organization’s rate structure. The ideal candidate will work closely with the commercial, operations, and equipment teams to ensure pricing strategies align with business goals. The role also involves regular reporting on performance and assisting in decision-making processes related to rate adjustments, cost analysis, bid analysis, and contract negotiations.
