What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Advocate for the needs of the state's HRIS within the Division of Finance and other state agencies
- Provide guidance and direction to HRIS team members and contractors
- Analyze complex requirements to determine the feasibility of implementing changes in the HRIS
- Monitor payroll production processing and oversee contractual services
- Serve as a consultant to management regarding legislative impacts on HRIS
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Six years of computer programming experience, including two years at a project leader or systems design level
- Two years of experience in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer, or computer information management support specialty
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related degree may substitute for one year of experience
- Completion of relevant coursework within three months of hire may qualify for conditional job offer
- Experience in systems analysis and design or project leadership is essential
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems supporting human resource management or financials
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as robotic process automation and artificial intelligence
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Proven ability to teach and mentor others in a technical environment
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
