THIS VACANCY MAY CLOSE EARLY IF A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED

Applicants who already hold a visa that allows them to work in the UK are welcome to apply. However, the Trust will not be able to offer sponsorship once that visa expires. For induction, training and operational reasons, applicants must have at least 12 months remaining on their visa at the start of employment.

The Test Lead is a key member of the Digital Services Application Support team responsible for maintaining clinical systems across the Trust. These include the two main Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems--EMIS Web for community services and Oracle Millennium for acute services--along with other clinical applications. The post holder will support the Test Manager in quality assurance and testing activities.

This role will oversee testing of changes to clinical systems, ensuring updates are robust, safe and meet agreed quality standards before implementation. They will ensure effective processes and controls are in place so changes are delivered securely with minimal impact on patient care and staff workflows.

Working with Application Support, CXIO colleagues, operational teams and the Digital Services PMO, the Test Lead will ensure IT changes follow standardised testing and governance processes.

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
