  The team you will be part of
  Our solution is a set of commercial grade applications and solutions offering Mobile Terminal Services.
  From layer 1 (constrained real time, use of hardware gas pedals and DSP) to infrastructure (based on microservices and containers), our team covers all kinds of technologies and all layers of 5G and beyond.

  Our Business Group is the leader in wireless networks and their associated services. With more than 3,500 patents essential for 5G we have a strong portfolio in 5G and we are forerunners in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).
  What you will learn and why you will contribute:
  Whether it is an internship or a work-study program, you will fully integrate a team in charge of
  Participating in the architecture and writing detailed specifications
  Implementing software features,
  Implementing software verification tests,
  Provide support to the validation teams before customer delivery,
  Contribute to cross-functional activities: continuous improvement and development of new tools.
  Depending on your skills and aspirations and the needs of the team, we will determine together the ideal subject. Whether it is an improvement in our tooling or processes, or a structural intervention in our product, you will be supported in all aspects of the engineering role.
  The skills we are looking for :
  Experience in the field of Telecoms and/or embedded software
  You have basic programming skills in C/C++/Python
  You have the ability to find solutions by yourself
  A good level of English
  You are at ease in a team environment
  You are able to understand the architecture and the software of a product
  Would be a plus:
  Experience in the real-time embedded linux environment
  Experience in open-source software
  Knowledge of mobile networks (3GPP 4G/5G)
  Knowledge of digital signal processing
  Knowledge of ORAN standard
  Knowledge of Agile best practices and their implementation in a team

• About the company

  Nokia’s transition to a primary focus on telecommunications began in the 1990s. The first GSM call was made in 1991 using Nokia equipment. Rapid success in the mobile phone sector allowed Nokia to become by 1998, the best-selling mobile phone brand in the world. In 2003 Nokia introduced the first camera phone. In 2011, to address increasing competition from iOS and Android operating systems, Nokia entered into a strategic partnership with Microsoft. In 2014 Nokia sold its mobile and devices division to Microsoft. The creation of Nokia Networks, following the buy-out of joint-venture partner Siemens in 2013, laid the foundation for Nokia’s transformation into primarily a network hardware and software provider. The 2015 acquisition of Franco-American telecommunications equipment provider Alcatel-Lucent greatly broadened the scope of Nokia’s portfolio and customer base. Additional acquisitions have positioned Nokia to be an industry leader in the transition to 5G wireless technology by offering the only end-to-end 5G network portfolio available on a global basis. In 2016 the Nokia brand re-entered the mobile handset market through a licensing agreement with HMD Global, allowing them to offer phones under the Nokia brand.
