- Technical Expertise: Consult on complex processing challenges, recommending bespoke equipment solutions that optimize client operations.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of the curve by analyzing competitor moves and industry shifts to maintain our competitive edge.
- Collaborative Success: Work across the Middleby ecosystem, leveraging internal engineering and marketing teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
- Travel: 50%+ travel across North America for site visits and demonstrations. Occasional international travel to global headquarters or events.

- Bachelor's Degree: Required, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial), Business Administration, or Food Science.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5-7+ years of proven success in capital equipment sales, specifically within the food processing or packaging industries.
- Technical Aptitude: A strong ability to understand and explain complex mechanical systems and automated processing lines to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The "Hunter" Mentality: A track record of identifying untapped markets and converting leads into long-term accounts.
- Strategic Negotiation: Experience managing long sales cycles (6-18 months) and closing high-value contracts ($250k+ per unit).
- CRM Proficiency: Expert-level use of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics) to manage pipelines and provide accurate forecasting.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation skills, whether in a boardroom or on a factory floor.
- Road Warrior Status: Ability and willingness to travel 50% or more within North America. This includes overnight stays and multi-city circuits.
- Global Mobility: Must possess (or be able to obtain) a valid passport for annual international travel to Thurne's global headquarters or international trade shows (e.g., IFFA or Anuga FoodTec).
- Valid Driver's License: Required for frequent travel to client sites.
- Existing relationships with major North American protein processors or bakery industrial groups.
- Multilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/French) to better serve the broader North American market.
- Prior experience within the Middleby brand ecosystem or a similar multi-brand conglomerate.
