      JOB DESCRIPTION

      This is a full-time position within CIS Abroad’s Consulting Services Team. Consulting Services at CIS Abroad is dedicated to assisting US universities and providers in the development, management, and oversight of their education abroad initiatives, including offering interim and embedded staffing solutions. Based on campus at Jacksonville University (JU), responsibilities include faculty-led program management, advising students interested in study abroad/away programs, and overseeing all students and faculty groups while they are abroad. On campus, the Assistant Director will report to the Provost within Academic Affairs. At CIS Abroad, this position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Consulting Services. This is currently a one-person office.

      SPECIFIC DUTIES

      Faculty Led Coordination (FLP) and Support: 50%

      • Advise faculty on faculty-led process (Forms, Proposal/Approval process, Vendor connection)
      • Gather all FLP proposals materials and provide to the Experiential Learning (EL) Committee
      • Create marketing materials for all JU approved FLPs
      • Create and update program budgets for each FLP
      • Approve and track all program related expenses and ensure they are coded correctly and submitted for payment

      Study Abroad/Away Advising: 20%

      • Student advising from lead to alumni, on all JU program opportunities (Providers, FLP, Exchange)
      • Lead management via phone, email and social media
      • Campus outreach and marketing
      • Other projects as necessary

      Office Administrative Duties: 20%

      • Supervise any part-time office staff, student workers or study abroad/away alumni ambassadors
      • Serve on the EL Committee on behalf of Study Abroad/Away and provide feedback based on best practices
      • Oversee office budget for Study Abroad & Away
      • Work with other campus departments and groups to support international initiatives outside of study abroad (Executive MBA programs, Global Teaching and Learning, etc.)
      • Register all program participants for insurance and travel assistance through International SOS
      • Update and create office specific SOPs, as needed.

      Marketing & Outreach: 10%

      • Plan & host on-campus events such as the Fall study abroad/away fair, International Education Week, etc.
      • Coordinate class visits, tabling opportunities and attend campus events throughout the year
      • Oversee on-campus promotion such as print material creation, electronic board ads, etc.
      • Update and maintain study abroad/away website listings on JU website and through CRM (ViaTRM)
      • Manage study abroad/away social media account(s)

      SUCCESS TARGETS

      • Determine the NPS of JU students through evaluations and analyze by term
      • Increase enrollment on programs to pre-pandemic levels
      • Identify areas of opportunities for CIS Abroad programming in the JU portfolio

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

      • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three years of professional experience in International Education
      • Previous international experience and demonstrated passion for international education
      • Strong program budget management skills
      • Proven customer service skills
      • Ability to successfully work independently
      • Exceptional verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
      • Efficient project manager and ability to update or create office related policies.
      • Rockin’ sense of humor
      • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Teams, Google Suite, and CRMs.

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • Experience working within a university system, specifically with faculty led programming and student advising
      • Experience with risk mitigation and vetting programs and understanding of best practices related to health and safety for study abroad programming.
      • Experience with ViaTRM.
      • A strong understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice

      COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

      • Annual salary of $50,000-$55,000
