What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform engineering calculations and prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for public works projects
- Compile and review engineering data for reports and studies
- Conduct field measurements and inspections, organizing field data effectively
- Coordinate project activities with teams, field personnel, utility companies, and contractors
- Assist with project scheduling and budgeting tasks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 0+ years of progressive engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
- Current California EIT License is highly desired
- Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering related to roadway, utility, or structural design projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design-aid software applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with engineering computations and reviewing existing engineering plans and studies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with the latest design and construction standards relevant to the specific design area
