Job Description
- Req#: 566510
- Integrate the Mercy core values of respect, compassion, integrity, justice and service in all aspects of interaction.
- Teach 12 credits per semester in the MA/CAGS and PsyD graduate programs in School Psychology, as well as courses in the undergraduate program in the Psychology and Counseling Department.
- Teach in lecture, online, or hybrid modalities.
- Ability to teach evening courses.
- Ability to supervise doctoral dissertations
- Participate in ongoing data collection and assessments needed to successfully continue NASP accreditation.
- Collaborate with colleagues regarding course materials (developing or using common syllabi/course outlines).
- Engage in Scholarly activities
- Participate in departmental functions such as lectures, Open House, etc.
- Engage in University-wide and departmental service.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- A doctorate in School Psychology is required (ABD with a known completion date can be considered). NJ-Certified School Psychologist (or eligible to become a NJ-Certified School Psychologist)
- Licensed or licensed-eligible Psychologist in the state of NJ
- Ability to teach a variety of courses in school psychology related to area of interest/expertise
- Ability to supervise doctoral dissertations
The successful candidate will primarily teach in the school psychology graduate programs. This individual will teach courses both at the MA/CAGS and Psy.D. level and supervise doctoral dissertations.
