Job Description

- Operating room duties to perform burn, hand, reconstructive, cosmetic, microvascular and general and reconstructive Plastic Surgery.
- Staff ambulatory clinics for hand-related Plastic Surgery care, including emergency hand trauma, carpal tunnel syndrome, brachial plexus, hand tendon repair, and trigger finger.
- General and cosmetic ambulatory clinic sessions for general Plastic Surgery and cosmetic related needs.
- Will be teaching while performing clinical duties, as they will be accompanied by learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows in the clinical setting.
- Further teaching duties include precepting for Plastic Surgery resident surgeons and University of Cincinnati medical students, evaluating curriculum and instructing residents, completing required evaluations, providing lectures, and leading small group discussions as part of the residency curriculum.
- Unrestricted Ohio medical license.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO).
- Completion of 3 years of General Surgery residency training.
- Completion of 3 years of Plastic Surgery residency training.

A full-time faculty position is available in the Department of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. The Section of Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery/Burn Surgery has an opening in a well-balanced and multispecialty group of providers. As part of UC Health, the division of Plastic Surgery serves a broad population and is the sole academic health system in the southwestern Ohio region, including patients from northern Kentucky, eastern Indiana, and southern Ohio. UC Medical Center offers Quaternary Care and is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region.
Essential Functions
Duties will include responsibilities for the Section of Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery/Burn Surgery in clinical ambulatory clinics, and operating room, research opportunities, and teaching conference activities for our students, residents, and fellows.
