      Description

      Citizens Bank is seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager to join its Subscription Finance & Services (“SFS”) team. The SFS team manages a portfolio of private equity fund clients of varying sizes, strategy, and complexity. SFS serves as the primary banking partner to CFOs, COOs, treasurers, and investment professionals across leading private equity firms. The team delivers fund-level financing solutions, strategic advisory, and holistic banking services.

      The position will support the ongoing management, monitoring, and analysis of a portfolio of subscription credit facilities for sponsors with AUM > $1 billion. This role focuses on portfolio oversight, credit monitoring, analytics, and risk management.

      Primary responsibilities include

      • Provide day-to-day support to senior Portfolio Managers and collaborate with junior analysts across the team

      • Support underwriting processes for new transactions, upsizes, and facility modifications

      • Conduct analytical reviews of fund performance, fundraising cycles, strategy, and LP base composition

      • Monitor borrowing bases, capital call activity, collateral eligibility, covenant compliance, and exposure levels across an assigned portfolio of subscription credit facilities

      • Assist in managing periodic credit reviews, renewals, amendments, waivers under the guidance of senior team members

      • Track investor/LP credit quality, commitment changes, side letter provisions, and concentration metrics

      • Prepare early drafts of credit memoranda and risk rating rationales

      • Ensure accurate and timely data management, document tracking, and reporting

      • Manage documentation flow, data room content, and internal compliance requirements

      • Liaise with internal partners (Credit, Risk, Treasury, Capital Markets, Operations), to support ongoing facility administration

      Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

      • Bachelor’s degree required

      • 1-3 years of experience in finance, banking, accounting, private equity, private capital, consulting, or related analytical roles

      • Self-starting team player who can think strategically and excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and challenging work environment

      • Ability to follow-up independently and consistently and play the critical role as the project manager on assignments

      • Internship or experience in corporate banking, underwriting, fund finance, private equity, credit, or leveraged finance strongly preferred but not required

      Hours & Work Schedule

      • Hours per Week: 40+
      • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

      Pay Transparency

      The salary range for this position is $91,000 to $110,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
