Bring a high degree of proficiency and initiative in delivering projects and tasks, generating scale in our sales processes and pipeline.
Support the delivery of the EMEA and local regional revenue objectives.
Support the achievement of client diversification, profitability and excellent customer service.
Building a detailed knowledge of Russell Investments investment solutions (including Implementation Services, Private Markets & OCIO), and a clear understanding of how these can be applied to mid/large UK Insurance Companies. The primary focus of the role will be on UK Insurers, albeit there may be scope to expand into continental Europe over time.
Mapping the insurance universe (including both companies and individuals), and identifying key targets for our solutions, with a primary focus on our Implementation Services toolkit (including Transition Management, Enhanced Portfolio Implementation, Currency and Overlay solutions, Execution Services and Systematic Strategies). This would include researching companies to understand them (objectives, investment approach, and pain points etc), creating a clear vision of the ways we could help these organisations, and honing focus on the best opportunities for us to develop new long-term commercial relationships.
Working to develop new sales leads, including the creation of tailored “reach outs” (email and phone) and embracing technology (CRM and “outreach”) to bring scale to processes wherever possible.
Working closely with sales, investment division and marketing colleagues to ensure we represent our capabilities as well as possible. This will include writing prospect proposals, creating new slides and presentations, and supporting development of campaigns.
Supporting meetings and meeting follow up.
Supporting the on-boarding of all new EMEA clients utilising the relevant capabilities to ensure the post-sale and on-boarding implementation happens on time and seamlessly.

Applying investment knowledge including knowledge of EMEA funds, strategies and structures.
Understanding the requirements of the EMEA regulatory environment and applying them diligently in the course of day-to-day interactions with clients via all communication mediums.
Working within the internal risk structure of Russell Investments, maintaining accurate records and staying abreast of both Company and industry developments.
Understanding the needs of the target market prospects and translating these requirements into an effective development plan with the support of the Marketing team and colleagues from the CPS Sales team.
Delivering marketing campaigns to Insurance Companies and other financial intermediaries.
Understanding the needs of the target market and then translating and prioritising these requirements with the Product Solutions team, Marketing and with relevant sales colleagues.
Using the Russell Investment’s CRM system to maintain accurate client records and demonstrate effective practice management.
IMC, ESMA Giving Information, is essential.
Relevant BSC/BA (Mathematics / Economics or similar) or equivalent experience / qualification is needed.
Previous experience and existing knowledge of the UK Insurance market would be extremely valuable, however investment knowledge and sales acumen / drive are the highest priority.
Knowledge of Implementation and Portfolio Services including Transition Management, Currency Solutions and Out-sourced trading.
Experience of developing sales and business development activity in a highly regulated environment required.
Ability to communicate effectively and knowledgeably with both colleagues and prospective clients.
Highly polished communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
Wide investment knowledge with good understanding of funds, strategies and structures in EMEA.

Job Description:Role Summary
Russell Investments distributes innovative products and services (spanning outsourced investment solutions, private markets solutions, and “implementation services”) to asset owners and intermediaries across EMEA.
This role is a mid-level sales role, focused on driving growth within our insurance business. They will work in conjunction with more senior members of the sales team as well as the wider business, but are expected to:

Whilst the majority of the key prospects will be based in UK, some travel within EMEA could be required. Though there will be opportunities to develop face-to-face sales skills and responsibilities over time, the role will initially be predominantly desk based, working in collaboration with other senior sales associates. The role will report to the Director CPS EMEA.
