What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs, adhering to coding standards
- Participate in an agile work team, engaging in all scrum ceremonies and assisting in sprint planning
- Monitor work against production schedules, providing progress updates and reporting issues to senior developers
- Generate ideas and suggest technical solutions to achieve required product features
- Assist in story creation and manage tasks in applicable software (e.g., RTC or Jira)
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field
- Minimum of 1 year of proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- At least 1 year of experience in one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
- 1 year of understanding of web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, JSON
- Experience working with agile methodology of scrum
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 3 years of experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages (Java, Python, etc.)
- 3 years of experience in defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs
- 3 years of experience in developing applications in healthcare
- 3 years of experience translating design mockups into working applications
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers
