What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and write code that adheres to coding standards
- Participate in all agile scrum ceremonies, including assisting in sprint planning and completing required sprints
- Monitor work against the production schedule and provide progress updates to senior developers
- Generate ideas and suggest technical solutions to achieve required product features
- Assist in story creation and manage tasks in applicable software
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
- At least 1 year of proficiency in the design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- 1 year of experience in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
- 1 year of understanding of web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, JSON
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 3 years of experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages
- Experience in defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs
- 3 years of working with technology systems and developing applications in healthcare
- Experience in translating design mockups and user stories into working applications
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers
