      Job Title: Associate Vice President, Global Logistics Lead

      Reports to: Sr. VP-Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing Strategy

      Organization Overview:

      Leads development of end-to-end warehouse and logistics strategies. Accountable for shared services logistic hubs and effective operation of distribution zones across the enterprise. Drives standardization of logistics operations globally and supports product movements between sites and regional affiliates in partnership with 3PLs and Commercial/Site teams. Key member of Global Supply Chain & Manufacturing Strategy (GSC & MS) Lead Team & primary point of contact for logistics service levels, quality/safety performance, and transformation efforts that enable manufacturing network optimization, sustainability, and productivity.

      Responsibilities:

      Functional:

      • Leads global process owners for warehouse, shipping and distribution operations who establish global strategies for internal and external distribution networks encompassing operational polices, standards and security
      • Creates warehouse strategy and ensure operations meet the standards of best industry practices to fulfil network and customer demand
      • Partners with Global Planning, Regional Demand Hubs and SC Design & Transformation leaders to optimize distribution channels and achieve targeted service levels for internal and external customers
      • Leads development of standards and metrics to optimize inventory control
      • Drives international and domestic transportation and logistics strategies and manages relationships with third party transportation service providers
      • Ensures seamless storage and transportation across the network while ensuring compliance, optimal budget management, sustainable processes, and safety
      • Collaborates with leadership, Compliance/Legal teams, and other internal stakeholders to monitor, mitigate and report on risk from third party relationships
      • Develops processes and controls for transportation packaging for different conditions to protect goods in transit
      • Strengthens global trade and compliance practices by collaborating with regulatory team for international laws and regulations to ensure seamless international trade
      • Accountable for regulatory compliance (GMP, GDP, Trade, Security, etc.) of global logistics operations domestically and overseas
      • Drives intercompany transportation and trade compliance improvement initiatives, data integrity efforts, and digitalization of logistics processes
      • Brings industry leading practices for evaluating goods returning from customers, verification of products in process, visually inspecting purchased products & recording results and material dispositions
      • Responsible for accurate financial reporting, controls, agility, and efficiency of commercial warehousing/transportation operations across the enterprise

      Leadership:

      • Coaches, manages and develops warehouse staff and team leaders to optimize performance and meet targets and deadlines
      • Works as part of the GSC & MS Lead Team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements
      • Capable to successfully work in matrix structures and to lead cross-functional programs that bring value to the enterprise
      • Provides guidance for development and coaching to direct and indirect reports to prepare employees for placement into future positions
      • Establishes an effective performance management process reviewing all direct report's progress and continually develop their effectiveness as leaders and technical practitioners, providing opportunity for career development
      • Ensures diversity, inclusion and active engagement of our Logistics GSC & MS talent

      Basic Requirements:

      • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or other related sciences (Master's degree preferred in the same fields)
      • Has 15 years of experience in a Logistics and Warehouse management role in the pharma industry or regulated cold chain operation
      • Has 6+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of/experience with international transportation required
      • Previous leadership experience with direct reports or executive leadership of teams

      Additional Skills/Preferences:

      • Holds CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) and ASCM (Association for Supply Chain management) CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution) Certifications
      • Expert in both foreign and domestic trade practices, logistics, and international law
      • Knowledge of GMP/GDP policies and procedures and/or exposure to clean/cold chain operations in regulated industry
      • Six sigma green / black belt with relevant experience
      • Has worked in international and multifunctional teams; has experience establishing or advancing the capabilities and performance of large size teams
      • Possesses knowledge and understanding of technical and commercial issues as well as efficient resource utilization in a multi-project environment
      • Highly skilled communicator with the ability to communicate complex concepts to others; ability to interact with executive level management, requiring negotiation of potentially difficult and sensitive matters to influence policy making bodies both internally and externally
      • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills; leadership experience with data management processes and advanced digitalization efforts
      • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain strong relationships internally and externally and engage with stakeholders

      • Travel up to 20%
