  Overview

  Title: Big Data Architect

  Location: Jersey City, NJ or Tampa, FL

  Duration: Full Time

  10+ years of Experience with Pyspark/Python/Scala & Apache Spark with BIG DATA & HADOOP

  Should have proficient experience in Big Data (HDFS, Hive, SQOOP, OOZIE, File formats) and Spark development using any of programming languages like SCALA and python.

  Proven experience with Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and using Spark API to explore Spark features to build data pipelines.

  Good experience in writing complex Hive queries to derive business-critical insights.

  Experience in writing analytics code, services and components in Apache Spark, and related technologies such as Hadoop

  Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting

  Agile, Scrum with Strong knowledge of DevOps tools (GIT, CI/CD Frameworks)

  Experience with design and implementation of ETL/ELT framework for complex warehouses/marts. Knowledge of large data sets and experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting

  Hands-on development, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems

  Responsible for systems analysis - Design, Coding, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities

  Requirement gathering and understanding, Analyze and convert functional requirements into concrete technical tasks and able to provide reasonable effort estimates

  Providing expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery

  Strong communication skills, should be able to communicate effectively with business and other stake holders

  Experience managing team size of 4-5 would be a plus
