What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Submit claims to insurance companies by appropriately clearing any system edits
- Follow up with insurance companies to inquire about outstanding payments
- Work denials, format appeals, and maintain detailed documentation of resolution attempts
- Maintain acceptable account balances and reduce days in A/R
- Demonstrate flexibility in responding to priorities and organizational changes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months of related experience and/or training
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge and understanding of duties, equipment, and procedures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- One year or more of healthcare billing experience
