What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review batch and sample level data to ensure accurate clinical reports for patient samples
- Create tools and workflows for the accurate processing and troubleshooting of sample data
- Monitor and analyze next generation sequencing (NGS) performance metrics
- Address production bottlenecks and facilitate solutions to improve operational excellence
- Serve as a subject matter expert in incident responses and process improvements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma with 9+ years, Bachelor's degree with 5+ years, Master's degree with 3+ years, or Ph.D. with 1+ year of experience in a molecular biology environment
- 1+ year of experience in a high throughput manufacturing or lab processing environment
- 1+ year of experience with troubleshooting or process improvement for lab or software pipelines
- Strong experience in manipulating data and troubleshooting applications in UNIX-based environments
- Superior oral and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1+ year of hands-on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) wet lab experience
- 1+ year of experience with bash scripting
- Familiarity with LIMS best practices and high throughput lab environments
- Strong experience writing scripts to analyze data (e.g., Python, R)
- Strong database querying experience (e.g., PostgreSQL)
