Bioprocessing Sales Specialist, Engineered Systems

- Promote and sell a portfolio of downstream, upstream and single use engineered systems & software solutions; predominantly Chromatography, Tangential Flow Filtration and Continuous Bioprocessing and be able to effectively articulate the Repligen value proposition
- Develop and execute a Regional management plan in close collaboration with Regional Sales Director and the Global BSS Leader
- Develop customized and modular engineered solutions for customers in upstream and downstream bioprocessing
- Review and support customer URS preparation and prepare proposals based on customer requirements
- Conduct sales negotiations with technical and procurement departments
- Drive sales process through the territory account managers to meet or exceed sales and profitability targets
- Establish and maintain Strategic Key Account relationships
- Develop new targets accounts across the territory in conjunction with the territory account managers
- Develop and support customers as they move through the clinical pipeline from lab-scale to full process scale solutions
- Provide accurate and timely sales reporting and forecasting with a market leading CRM tool
- Maintain contact with key bioprocessing infrastructure partners and identify new sales and business opportunities
- Interface with Business and Market Development to ensure that appropriate product, market and competitive information is shared in an accurate and timely manner
- Support the development of sales collateral
- Provide Manufacturing and QA/QC operations with timely information to support forecasting, customer complaint handling and facility audits
- Execute all aspects of field sales activity to include customer visits, technical presentations, quote preparation and negotiation
- Attend, manage and follow up on trade show activities
- A minimum of a BEng or a BSc degree in Biochemical Engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Deep knowledge of engineered systems for different unit operations including chromatography and filtration is required.
- A strong understanding of Chromatography and/or Filtration is highly beneficial.
- An understanding of engineering control platforms e.g. Alan Bradley; Delta V; Siemens would be beneficial
- Proven successful sales track record and key account management experience
- Proficiency in understanding engineering documentation and drawings is essential
- Proven ability to build mutually beneficial, personable, trusting relationships with customers, suppliers and partners
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills
- Willing to travel extensively throughout the territory

Repligen is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Specialist whose primary role will be to sell an expanding portfolio of highly differentiable and high-value integrated engineered systems solutions that address critical steps in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing process.
The Senior Sales Specialist, Engineered Systems would predominantly support unit operations in Tangential Flow Filtration & Chromatography as well as Continuous Bioprocessing across a full range of molecules such as monoclonal antibodies, vaccines and cell and gene therapy.The Senior Sales Specialist, Engineered Systems would support customers across the East Coast of USA preferrably based in the Northeast.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of motivation to succeed, highly developed sales and territory management skill sets in the Bioprocessing sector and is now looking for the next challenge at a rapidly evolving and innovative bioprocessing-focused life sciences company.
Reporting to the Director, Integrated Systems, this will be a home office-based role. 50% travel time is expected in the region.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $160,800.00 - $190,000.00 . Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
