Join our dynamic team as a Business Partner Lead in the Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Business Partner team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our esteemed medical team dedicated to semaglutide diabetes, as well as the VP of GMA diabetes.

With us, you can look forward to an exciting job driving different projects and engaging with multiple stakeholders at a global and HQ level. Apply now!

      The position
As the Business Partner Lead, you will be a part of the Business Partner team and be allocated to one of the diabetes medical teams. Together, you will ensure excellent project management, oversight, and execution of strategic projects. Furthermore, you will optimise how we work, while driving cross area activities, such as the strategy process, and secure knowledge sharing with the other Business Partners in GMA.

      Your key responsibilities are to:

      • Ensure there is an overview of the budgets across all our 5 Medical Affairs focus areas, and suggest allocation/projects to the Medical Director based on your insight and the strategic direction for the area
      • Work on the conceptual level by developing the medical strategies with the medical doctors/director and VP
      • Collaborate with Medical Affairs team in Bangalore and manage cross functional working groups
      • Execute projects and follow-up on budgets and project milestones
      • Secure the tracking, reporting and performance management in alignment with the Medical Director and the team

You will be collaborating closely with 10 Business Partners, who have the same role as you, and are working with the other products of the Novo Nordisk diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer’s, and cardiovascular disease portfolio. Additionally, they work with Project Managers across GMA, who oversee activities relevant to your specific area. Approximately 80% of your time will be dedicated to working with the medical team, while the remaining portion will be allocated to collaborating with your Business Partner colleagues.

      Qualifications
We are looking for a Business Partner Lead who is passionate about project management and stakeholder management, and the interplay between the science and business within pharma.

The ideal candidate should have the following:

      • Master’s degree in business or other related fields
      • 6+ years of relevant experience with cross-functional, global project management within the pharmaceutical industry or experience from multiple areas within the pharma value chain
      • An understanding of Medical Affairs role is an advantage, but not a requirement
      • Fluency in both verbal and written English

This role requires you to be well-organised, and strategic, yet not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You can communicate ideas in an assertive manner, and work in depth with budgets in Excel. You must be able to strategically plan and execute across multiple projects simultaneously, work both in a team and independently, and explicitly prioritize while moving at high speed.

Finally, you bring a can-do attitude, a collaborative mind-set and a healthy sense of humour to your work even when the pressure is on. You have a professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative and responsibility for your projects.

      About the department
You get the opportunity to join an international, high performing team with a variety of backgrounds (project management, finance, strategy, marketing and international business). We use our differences to challenge each other to ensure high performance, to create novel ideas, and develop high-quality solutions.

In the Business Partner team, we engage stakeholders both externally in the scientific community and internally in Novo Nordisk. We work on both a strategic and operational level, and drive projects across Medical Affairs in HQ and worldwide. To ensure impact of our projects, we collaborate with key affiliates and other stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of the Medical Affairs function globally and to contribute to the Medical Affairs Vision of Improving Patient’s Lives.
