      Job summary

      To provide specialist psychological interventions to children and young people referred to the Multi-disciplinary Harrow CAMHS team based in the Emotional Disorders Sub-team.

      The post holder will provide assessment and intervention as well as providing interventions and contributing to specialist support plans for the care of children and young people with a range of mental health difficulties. They will contribute to highly specialist assessments of children and their families and support case formulation and treatment plans in line with best practice and evidence-based interventions.

      The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures They will utilise research skills for audit to support policy and service development; and undertake research within the area served by the service and of relevance to young people, their families and carers.

      The post holder will provide clinical supervision to trainees, and assistant psychologists

      Main duties of the job

      The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users.       Clinical

      To provide specialist psychological assessments of children and young people referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, psychometrics, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with children and young people, family members and others involved in their care.
