      What You'll Do

      • Perform and document patient intake, including vital signs and medical history
      • Prepare patients and charts for provider visits

      • Assist providers with OBGYN exams, procedures, and treatments within scope

      • Administer medications and immunizations as ordered

      • Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and in-office lab testing

      • Track and report lab results; complete required quality control documentation

      • Accurately document care and code visits, labs, and procedures in the EMR

      • Support referrals, scheduling, registration, and check-out as needed

      • Reinforce patient education and self-care instructions using clear language

      • Collaborate with providers and team members to improve workflows and patient experience

      • Maintain required competencies, certifications, and ongoing education

      • A patient-focused CMA passionate about women’s health

      • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented OBGYN clinic

      What We're Looking For

      • Required

        • High School Diploma or GED

        • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration

        • Certification or registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire, and an education agreement must be signed

        Accepted Certifications / Registries

        • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

        • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – National Health Career Association (NHA)

        • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Medical Technologists (AMT)

        • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

        • National Health Career Workers Association (NHCWA)

        • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

        • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)

        • American Allied Health (AAH)

        Alternative Work Experience (if not certified or registered at time of hire)

        • Applicant may qualify to sit for a certification or registry exam through supervised medical assistant experience, as follows:

          • Minimum of 1 year within the last 3 years (NHA or NHCWA)

          • Minimum of 2 years (NCCT or NAHP)

          • Minimum of 3 years (ARMA)

          • Minimum of 5 years within the last 7 years (AMT), with no more than 2 years as an instructor in a post-secondary medical assistant program

        • OR graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing

        • Experience must include both clinical duties (including medication administration) and administrative responsibilities
