What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide direct patient care and support during appointments
- Handle patient registration and scheduling of appointments
- Perform various office-related tasks to maintain efficient operations
- Obtain required Medical Assistant credentials within 6 months of hire
- Ensure compliance with certification requirements to avoid disciplinary action
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS CPR certification by the American Heart Association
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program, or one year of Medical Assistant work experience in lieu of program completion
- Current possession of Medical Assistant certification is highly preferred
- Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
