      Job summary

      We are looking for a Mobile Chef (Band 3) to join our Catering Team, working 30 hours per week across a 7-day rota, including weekends and bank holidays. You will provide high-quality, freshly prepared meals for patients at multiple locations, including Hopewood, Lings Bar Hospital, and The Wells Road Centre. Shifts will fall between 07:00 and 18:30, . A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to travel between sites.       Main duties of the job

      To be responsible for the provision of the patient by undertaking specific outlined and approved processes and procedures to ensure the quality and food safety of meals at service are safe and appropriate and within the guidelines of food hygiene legislation.

      You will ensure full compliance with the Catering Food Safety Manual, Trust policies and procedures, the Food Safety Act, and all relevant Food Hygiene Regulations.

      You will act as a key point of contact between the catering service and clinical areas, providing support and information regarding patient meals and menus. This includes addressing any issues, managing specific dietary requirements, and ensuring accurate allergen information is communicated.

      Applicants should hold a recognised catering or support services qualification, or demonstrate substantial, proven experience and knowledge of chef and catering operations.

      Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

      You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

      Please note: This post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled Worker visa. Successful applicants without prior NHS experience will normally start at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
