Maintain cleaning standards using recognised quality control procedures, as set out in the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021.

Keep robust and accurate cleaning records for auditing purposes.

Follow the practices cleaning schedules and procedures in all designated areas.

Ensure correct cleaning methods are applied at all times.

Use cleaning equipment safely and effectively, following manufacturers instructions.

Replenish consumables (e.g. hand towels, soap, toilet rolls) as required.

Remove waste in line with the Waste Management Policy and the organisations Environmental and Sustainability Policy.

Always follow the colour coding system for cleaning materials and equipment.

Store all cleaning products securely and in accordance with COSHH and other relevant legislation.

Carry out legionella flushing of water systems as directed.

Report faults, defective equipment or maintenance issues promptly to the Operational Manager.

Take part in regular cleanliness audits and implement action plans to address any areas for improvement.

Job summary

Main duties of the job

The role also includes carrying out regular flushing of water systems, supporting cleanliness audits, and reporting any faults or issues to the Operational Manager.
