      The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is offering flexible shifts for reliable individuals to work as Facilities Technicians, helping to ensure our patient environment is safe and cleaned to the highest standards.

      We currently have permanent vacancies for Housekeepers on wards, department areas or public spaces. We can offer a range of shifts that allow for a strong work/life balance, perfect if you have a family or other personal commitments.

      Shifts:

      M-F - 12:00-18:30 - 30hrs/wk

      M-F - 12:30-19:00 - 30hrs/wk

      M-F - 13:00-19:30 - 30hrs/wk

      M-F - 15:00-19:00 - 20hrs/wk

      M-F - 15:00-23:00 - 37.5hrs/wk

      M-F - 14:30-19:30 - 25hrs/wk

      M-F - 08:00-14:30 - 30hrs/wk

      M-F - 09:00-12:00 - 15hrs/wk

      M-F - 07:30-15:30 - 37.5hrs/wk

      A full enhanced DBS check will be required for all roles.

      Main duties of the job

      Successful applicants will be invited to an interview assessment centre held on 7th April 2026(subject to change)

      The assessment centre will consist of an interview with set questions for the candidates around activities such as cleaning, ward food service, task prioritisation and, infection prevention. Details of this can be found on the attached job description.

      There will also be a short interactive test where the candidate is asked to take part in a mock patient interaction relating to something likely to be within the role expectation such as asking for directions, or completing the food order.

      The roles will provide cleaning duties (dusting, mopping, cleaning toilets, sinks, patient beds etc) within either wards, departments or public areas, dependant on which role the successful candidates are appointed to.

      Within ward areas the role is also required to complete full catering services to Patients (after training has been given).

      Ensuring the environment is cleaned to the highest standards for the safety and wellbeing of our patients.

      - Catering duties involve a caring, Patient centred approach to meal & beverage services.

      - There will be an expectation to complete ad-hoc duties when required.
