What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in preparing social work interns to understand the profession's missions, values, principles, and standards
- Provide indirect and direct services to patients and their families, including diagnostic assessments and various therapy types
- Collaborate with other UAMS departments and community organizations to enhance service delivery
- Manage a clinical caseload, including individual, group, and family therapy
- Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment teams and assist with treatment plan formulation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field; must be enrolled in an accredited university working toward a Master’s in Social Work
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting
- Ability to provide both indirect and direct services to patients and their families
- Proficiency in documentation in clinical records and participation in staff meetings
- Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience providing direct services such as individual therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention
- Familiarity with the behavioral health service delivery model
- Previous involvement in community health and social welfare organizations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
