What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical teams in delivering patient care management
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments; may include minor procedures
- Coordinate daily travel itineraries and transport clinicians to scheduled appointments
- Accurately document patient care and update care plans in the electronic medical record
- Perform phlebotomy and other medical procedures as directed by clinicians
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or related medical education/training program, or 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
- Current CPR certification that meets company guidelines
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer literacy
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Six months of experience in patient care, preferably in geriatric care
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Desire and ability to obtain MA certification within 180 days of hire
