What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and review Closing Disclosures for mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with RESPA and TILA requirements
- Validate loans meet underwriting guidelines for cash to close and cash back to the borrower
- Verify accuracy of required information within loan files, including borrower names and property addresses
- Review tax bills and property insurance to ensure proper escrow account setup
- Monitor compliance reports and troubleshoot any issues to maintain regulatory standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Prior experience in the mortgage industry is strongly preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet goals
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a similar role within the mortgage industry
- Knowledge of TRID rules and regulations for accurate fee disclosures
- Familiarity with closing processes and compliance requirements
