      Job Summary

      We are part of Entertainment Experiences team and perform End to End testing on XUMO TV, which is developed by Comcast in collaboration with OEM partners. XUMO TV has an integrated interface and voice remote to access customer's favorite live and on demand streaming content from hundreds of apps and services. Our team is responsible for both Automation and Manual testing of application. We do perform Stress/Stability and Performance testing as well on the TV in addition to Customer Journey scenarios. We have a good framework built using Cypress and JavaScript with Cucumber.
      We are looking for an enthusiastic co-op who will be working closely with SDET’s in our team to work on End-to-End Automation framework by developing new scripts. They will also be working under Agile methodologies and will be participating in different agile ceremonies like scrum calls, grooming, sprint planning and retrospective. They will be responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base. Focuses on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency.

Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.

      Role Overview

      Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:

      • Write and edit automated test code, that allows for repeatable, reliable testing solutions to test the wide functionality of products and software in accordance with specifications and technical requirements, maintaining automation codebase in a version control system like Github .

      • Develop automated scripts for functional, system performance and data flows check.

      • Execute automated test scripts and manual tests on each build.

      • Analyze broken test cases and diagnose and repair to working order.

      • Create automated testing documentation, including Test Plans, Test Summary Reports etc.

      • Perform manual QA testing of the new features.

      • Assist in identifying viable test strategies to support testing product functionality.

      • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience with JavaScript programming language
      • Experience in using CI/CD tools ( Concourse )
      • Familiarity with Cypress framework
      • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university that has a cooperative learning track .

      • Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 25 , 2023 through March 29, 2024.

      • Available to report in-person to the work location provided above.

      • 3. 0 minimum cumulative GPA preferred.

      Compensation

      Base Pay: $32.00

      Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.       Bachelor's Degree: Computer and Information Science
