      Job Title: Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist

      Location: The Hive - Sandy, UT 84070

      Reports to: Head of Account Management Operations

      Department: Account Management (Commercial Lines)

      FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly

      Job Purpose
      The Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist is responsible for quoting and rating various commercial insurance coverages, ensuring alignment with carrier appetite and agency standards. This role supports agency partners by delivering accurate, timely proposals and maintaining strong carrier relationships. The Specialist ensures compliance with workflows and contributes to the overall efficiency and success of the Commercial Lines Marketing team.

      Key Responsibilities

      1. Quoting and Proposal Management
      • Rate and quote commercial insurance accounts including Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Property, Auto, etc.
      • Review proposals for accuracy and ensure all necessary information is documented in the Agency Management System.
      • Deliver quotes to Account Managers or Producers for review in a timely manner.

      2. Carrier and Market Expertise
      • Maintain strong knowledge of carrier appetites, underwriting guidelines, and market trends.
      • Build and maintain effective relationships with carrier representatives.

      3. Workflow and Documentation
      • Follow standard operating procedures and document all activities in the Agency Management System (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360, Hawksoft).
      • Ensure compliance with internal processes from submission to binding.

      4. Time Management and Service Delivery
      • Manage renewal and expiration lists to ensure timely quoting and proposal delivery.
      • Meet deadlines and maintain service standards across all assigned accounts.

      5. Collaboration and Communication
      • Maintain professional and effective working relationships with Account Managers, Producers, and internal teams.
      • Communicate proactively to ensure alignment and service excellence.

      Qualifications

      Education & Experience
      • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required, or a P&C license must be obtained within the first three (3) months of employment
      • Experience in quoting and rating various commercial insurance coverages.

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
      • Strong knowledge of insurance coverages, markets, and procedures.
      • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
      • Proficiency in Applied Epic or similar agency management systems.
      • Ability to maintain professional and effective relationships.

      Working Conditions
      • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
      • Must be able to pull or lift up to 15 pounds at times.
