Track costs, quotes, BOLs, freight rates, etc., and coordinate necessary information with the operations team
Provide daily pricing information to customers and prospects. Weigh all arbitrage opportunities for highest margins
Discover, research, and contact leads and prospects to convert them into customers. Cold calling, cold emailing, visiting prospects, etc.
Develop close relationships with customers to build a pipeline of consistent monthly sales of fuel in the millions of gallons per month range
Resolve customer invoice and pricing disputes
Primary liaison for customers on credit compliance and account management
Interact daily with existing Refined Products teams on managing product supply and fulfillment
Responsible for assisting in the strategic direction and implementation of growing NGL’s commercial fuel business. Work with management and other team members to grow customer base, volume, and margin targets, transportation/supply growth, and forecast a yearly budget
Research and understand regional market dynamics including supply, demand, pipelines, refiners, competitors, etc.
Provide back-up and assist the account managers if they are unavailable or on vacation
Demonstrated strength in relationship building, problem solving, and conflict management
Ability to deliver value proposition to multiple levels of customer profiles
Ability to manage sales and contract details to ensure timely and proper accounting
Interest in developing into a more sophisticated sales role in the future
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, or Operations preferred
HS diploma/GED is required
Self-starter with proven track record of delivering on results and bottom-line profitability
Ability to think strategically to formulate a vision for growing the commercial division
Excellent multi-tasking skills, being detail oriented, and high organized are required to be successful in this position
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking capabilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
Up to 10% travel is required. Requires the ability to travel to prospective customers, current customer locations, corporate offices and for conferences. May require more travel in the beginning for training purposes
Work is generally sedentary but may require physical effort associated with travel to the facilities. This may include standing, walking, and lifting to carry out everyday activities
Job Description
The Commercial Sales Support Representative is an essential member of the Refined Products team working closely with customers, management, and the Refined Products Commercial and Operations team to ensure sales volume, margin, and customer satisfaction are achieved. The Support Rep will be responsible for maintaining and growing NGL’s fuel businesses across various regions. The role requires the ability to prospect potential customers, manage a multitude of customers and carriers while developing positive relationships, pricing, scheduling, and commercial operations.
