- Develop, implement, and coordinate community based mental health services which include adult mental health basic services, intensive services, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), TCOOMMI (Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments), and children & youth mental health services.
- Provide oversight and support to meet the requirements of a variety of funding and accrediting agencies including HHSC, SAMHSA and other governmental entities.
- Create and implement related program policies and procedures.
- Develop, manage and monitor budgets to maximize revenue and minimize expense.
- Work with program directors and staff to assure appropriate licensure, accreditation and/or credentialing is current.
- Identify reports needed to assess the quality of service provision.
- Analyze, interpret and write required/requested reports.
- Demonstrate a continuous effort to improve operations and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service.
- Provide technical assistance and support to program staff.
- Assist with special projects or assignments.
- Communicate information to supervisor and other Center employees.
- Complete all required documentation and submit within established timelines.
- Master’s Degree in a Human Service related field with applicable licensure to include: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Three (3) years of full-time experience in a related field, with three (3) years of full-time supervision.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred.
- Skill and proficiency in operating a personal computer, with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, and email).
- Knowledge and skill to operate standard office equipment, i.e., fax, phone, calculator, typewriter, copier, printer, etc.
- Must possess a current Texas driver's license, liability insurance and be insurable under the organization's insurance.
- Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.

StarCare is also a Texas Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) and provides adult inpatient psychiatric services at Sunrise Canyon Hospital. StarCare is search of an experienced and licensed mental health professional to serve as Community Based Mental Health Director.
Responsibilities include:
Schedule: This is an EXEMPT position with a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the expectation of additional hours to be worked as necessary to ensure quality services.
