Job Description
- Req#: 337012
- Meets with referral sources to promote using the facility when needing to place clients in a psychiatric hospital.
- Works independently with the sources and makes business decisions to adequately meet the requests of the referring agency.
- Recommends referrals to the hospitals programs or to outside professionals in the community.
- Demonstrates knowledge of managed care concepts and contracts.
- Demonstrates knowledge of hospital admission process for inpatient, outpatient and partial programs.
- Acquires current knowledge of competition and other care providers.
- Demonstrates ability to work with the public (i.e., one-to-one contacts, group presentations, etc.).
- Documents accurate and efficient reports of sales calls, census, etc.
- Participates in coordination, planning and implementation of hospital based workshops and other events.
- Participates in strategic planning.
- Represents the service-oriented image of the hospital to the community.
- Performs work directly related to the management or general business operations of The Pavilion.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to business development matters of significance.
- Responsible for maintaining car for travel.
- Projects a positive image of The Pavilion by being courteous, helpful, friendly, and professional in relationships with patients, visitors and co-workers.
- Assures compliance with federal, state, and organizational confidentiality regulations.
- Responds to a “support code” in a therapeutic, appropriate manner as prescribed in the annual TCI in-service.
- Maintains CPR and TCI certification, as well as OSHA annual in-service requirement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
