Main duties of the job
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled hip and knee Orthopaedic Consultant with a specialist interest in the management of trauma and reconstruction. The successful candidate will join a dynamic multidisciplinary team, providing expert clinical care, surgical interventions, and ongoing management for patients presenting with complex orthopaedic conditions, including major trauma injuries.
Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills are essential, together with a commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development. The ability to contribute to clinical audit, research, and service improvement initiatives is also expected. Experience of consultant level on-call activity is essential for this role, as we are a major trauma centre and the workload and demands of our on call duties are high.
