What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct qualitative research studies, focusing on in-depth interviews and focus groups
- Analyze and synthesize literature and secondary research for actionable recommendations
- Manage all phases of a research project life cycle to meet client deadlines
- Create client-ready deliverables on various K12 qualitative and secondary projects
- Provide guidance and consultation to team members on qualitative research and project scoping
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to travel on-site to K12 school districts nationwide three to four times a year
- Experience conducting social science research in a professional or academic setting
- Experience developing and completing qualitative research studies using IDI or FG methodologies
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, business, economics, psychology, political science, sociology, or related social science discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and qualitative research analysis tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience conducting applied K12 education research or evaluation
- Experience writing for professional, business, or non-academic audiences
- Knowledge of K-12 education policies, practices, and research
- Proficiency in Spanish, Mandarin, Tagalog, or another non-English language
- Experience conducting research with or working with students or youth below 18 years of age
