      About the team

      As a member of the Stripe Global Control Testing & Assurance team which is part of the Group Compliance Function, the Testing Analyst will help scale our compliance testing function.

      What you’ll do

      You will be responsible for designing test plans and executing tests for core compliance controls, identifying control deficiencies, and partnering with Compliance stakeholders and partner teams, to assess impact of identified deficiencies, develop remediation action plans and track remediation. This is a high impact role, with opportunities to brief senior management and shape the direction of the testing program.

      Responsibilities

      • Scope, develop and execute control testing and assurance reviews, in accordance with existing procedures
      • Identify compliance control deficiencies, assess impact and risk effects, and draw the appropriate conclusions to best communicate with management
      • Deliver executive reporting on test outputs to key compliance and cross-functional stakeholders
      • Validate that control weaknesses identified through testing are tracked, evaluated, prioritized based on risk, responded to, and closed
      • Aggregate and monitor testing results for trends, and escalate concerns to the appropriate levels of leadership
      • Assist with the automation of controls to achieve efficiencies and enhance control oversight

      Minimum requirements

      • 4-8 years of demonstrated experience in compliance or control testing functions
      • Advanced SQL abilities to evaluate data quality and develop complex queries for analysis
      • Knowledge of regulatory compliance including, but not limited to, cybersecurity, safeguarding, fraud, sourcing, IT, financial crime and regulatory reporting
      • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders
      • Superior writing, analytical, problem solving and communication skills
      • Ability to tackle ambiguous situations and operate efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, high-volume and technology-driven environments
      • Strong instinct for when to escalate potential compliance issues
      • Respect for and interest in financial rules and regulations, as well as an eagerness to innovate and drive the financial technology industry forward

      Preferred qualifications

      • Financial compliance, operational, regulatory, management consulting, or legal experience
      • Previous experience in risk assessment, model validation, or internal audit
      • ACAMS, CRCM and/or CFE or equivalent certification
      • Bilingual skills
