What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services
- Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
- Clean and inspect equipment, including checking fluid levels
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment
- Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to use protective clothing or gear as necessary
- Availability to work in a moderate-risk environment and adapt to safety precautions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or related field
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance or rental services
- Ability to obtain forklift and propane certification through U-Haul
- Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
