      As part of cxLoyalty’s Security Engineering Team, the Cyber Security Platform Operations role is a hands-on role that requires a high level of technical ability. The person in this position handles a broad range of tasks, including the day-to-day administration of cybersecurity tools and devices.

      A successful candidate will be able to prove knowledge of general Cybersecurity principles as well as proven track record in supporting typically deployed security tools. Attractive skills of the candidate include familiarity with Network Security, Vulnerability Detection, End Point Security Tools, inclusive of Anti-Virus/Malware, Detection and Response technology, Data Leakage Protection, Cloud Access Security Brokers, Messaging Security tools.

      This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Performs 1st/2nd line support and system security administration on designated technology platforms, including Network Security Devices, Vulnerability Detection Tools, End Point Security Tools, inclusive of Anti-Virus/Malware, Detection and Response technology, Data Leakage Protection tools, Cloud Access Security Brokers, and Messaging Security, in accordance with the defined policies, standards and procedures, as well as with industry best practices and vendor guidelines
      • Performs configuration management of security systems and applications, including policy assessment and compliance tools, network security appliances and host-based security systems
      • Applies patches to security tools, where appropriate and directed
      • Monitors, finds, and repairs security problems and failures on the designated systems and applications
      • Develops and maintains documentation for security systems and procedures
      • Researches, recommends, evaluates, and implements cybersecurity solutions or configurations that identify and/or protect against potential threats, and respond to security violations
      • Participates in infrastructure projects to implement specifications for network and distributed system security technologies in support of key information systems
      • Aid with updates and maintenance of monthly metrics and dashboards
      • Oversees monthly policy updates and reviews on Security Tools

      Background and Experience:

      • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management
      • Technical proficiency with security-related systems and applications, such as:
        • Tenable
        • Trend Micro
        • Netskope
        • Trend Micro Deep Security/CloudOne
        • Forcepoint
        • ProofPoint
        • Corelight / Zeek / Bro
        • Exabeam
        • Crowdstrike
        • Microsoft Purview Information Protection
        • AWS (Amazon Web Services) Security Services
      • Experience in developing, documenting, and maintaining security procedures
      • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and associated network protocols and concepts
      • Working technical knowledge of current systems' operating systems and software, protocols, and standards
      • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Minimum of 2+ years of IT or network security experience
      • 3-5 years of security administration
      • Bachelor's degree in information systems, or equivalent work experience
      • Maintain or working towards at least one (1) of the following industry certifications: CISSP, CISA, Security+, GSEC, CASP
      • Relevant vendor qualifications
