What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor network traffic and systems for security breaches or anomalies
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing detailed reports and remediation steps
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify risks
- Implement and maintain security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and security frameworks
- Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management solutions
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management principles
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
