- Registered nurse on relevant part of the NMC register
- Level 7 Post Grad Cert (Min 60 Credits), Master's Degree within relevant speciality or equivalent knowledge to be assessed through evidence of relevant speciality training, experience or portfolio
- Specialist training / Qualification in area of practice
- Provide evidence of leading learning in practice
- Evidence of experience and completion of all band 6 competencies within relevant speciality
- Specialist clinical skills and experience within specialist area
- Evidence of change Management, leadership and innovation
- Clinical experience at Band 6 or equivalent within relevant speciality
- Provide evidence of supporting colleagues to promote learning in practice providing an excellent learning environment for all
- Provide evidence of supporting / managing and supervision of a range of learnings in practice

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Southampton Children's Hospital's, Children's Respiratory Team for a dedicated registered paediatric nurse with leadership qualities to join our friendly, supportive multidisciplinary team as a Children's Cystic Fibrosis/Respiratory Nurse Specialist. This is a part time role, offering flexibility and can be discussed as part of the interview process.
Southampton Children's Hospital is a tertiary centre for providing specialist services including respiratory, cystic fibrosis (CF), long term ventilation (LTV), sleep and primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD). We accept referrals from across the Wessex region, Channel Islands and the West Country for some of the specialist services. We are a cohesive multidisciplinary team working closely with other subspecialty teams to ensure the best outcomes for our patients and their families. We maintain close links with Southampton Centre of Biomedical Research leading and participating in exciting research projects locally and in collaboration with national and international groups.
