Job summary
We are looking for a Data Analyst Apprentice to join our dynamic Communications and Engagement Team at North West Ambulance Service. The post will be based at trust headquarters in Bolton and will support our busy patient engagement and involvement team whilst undertaking a Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship qualification. The team currently works a hybrid model of 2 days in the office and 3 days from home on a rota basis.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will undertake patient experience surveys in relation to our 999, 111 and patient transport services. This will include distribution and inputting of completed returns as well as supporting our senior patient engagement analyst in the preparation of detailed analysis, dashboard production and other reports and returns. The role will also support the wider team with patient engagement events and activities together with general administrative duties in order to better understand and experience the work of the team and fulfil the requirements of the apprenticeship. The candidate will require own transport and be able to travel to different trust locations and community venues as required.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to develop as a junior analyst, gain experience in an NHS trust and emergency service and complete a qualification/apprenticeship funded by the trust.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
