What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Share an on-call rotation; act as first responder ensuring the health and continuous operation of production-critical systems
- Perform manual steps and develop automated processes to ensure the completeness and integrity of mission-critical financial data
- Partner with research staff to curate and onboard new and existing datasets
- Drive continuous improvements to data quality procedures and establish consistent measurement and reporting
- Design systematic and automated processes for scaling and reliability of data-consumption pipelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Coursework or relevant training in data analytics, programming, or computing systems
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities, including pattern detection and root cause analysis
- Experience with Python, pandas, and an interest in programming and data analysis
- Experience with SQL and working with a relational database system
- A degree in a technical field
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Relevant experience in data operations with proven process improvement skills
- Understanding of the software development process and exposure to hands-on coding in a professional environment
- Experience in exploratory data analysis and applied statistics
- Experience interacting with Linux kernels
- Financial industry experience is a plus, but critical thinkers passionate about technology and data are encouraged to apply
