      Job Description

      We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the Dental Assistant program. This is a full time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean/Director of Education. As the leader of the program, the Program Director is responsible for managing the department using sound business principles and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation and company policies and procedures. This position requires some evening and Saturday hours.

      The Program Director teaches in his/her assigned discipline, works with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s), is the lead administrator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for faculty training and development, coordinating and administering the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department.

      Qualifications

      • Associate degree required in a related field combined with the completion of a Dental Assistant program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma
      • Certifications:
        • RHS Certification
        • Certified Dental Assistant
        • Registered Dental Assistant
        • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
      • Expertise in interpersonal and verbal presentation/written communication skills.
      • Ability to provide effective direction and leadership and work effectively and collaboratively with others.
      • Minimum of 5 years of chairside experience as an RDA/CDA.
      • Prior higher education/postsecondary related teaching experience of at least 2 years.
