      Summary

      The SAP Business Network Supply Chain Collaboration team is one of the fastest growing teams within the SAP Business Network, the largest business-to-business network in the world with over 3.6 million connected companies in over 190 countries. Our solution enables customers to manage and run an efficient supply chain and helps them collaborate with direct materials suppliers through innovative planning and execution processes. We are looking for bright engineers who are passionate about solving complex business problems with purposeful, beautiful software, and have fun while doing it.

      Expectations

      As a Development Expert, you will work with Product Managers, UX Designers, Developers and Quality Engineers in an agile scrum environment to accelerate innovations for Supply Chain Collaboration and expand the SAP Business Network. You will have the opportunity to work on complex business problems. You will work with SAP Business Network Cloud technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Microservices, and SAP HANA. To succeed in this position, you must be able to:

      • Provide technical leadership for key component areas of the largest business network in the cloud (think 24x7x365, millions of users, terabytes of data)
      • Have high standards on usability, scalability, resiliency, and security and hold the same standards for fellow engineers.
      • Demonstrate strong technical, business, and methodological leadership.
      • Internalize business requirements and solve them with beautifully engineered solutions.
      • Take initiatives and drive topics to resolution.
      • Mentor junior developers and help the team succeed.

      Specific Responsibilities

      • Build and deliver Supply Chain Collaboration features using Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
      • Participate in each stage of the Software Development Lifecycle (analyze, design, implement, test, deploy and maintain) and take full ownership and responsibility of your work.
      • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members in different time zones.
      • Review and refine functional requirements, author and review design specifications, review and approve pull requests, etc.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues on demand.

      EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

      • Bachelor's in computer science or engineering, Master’s preferred.
      • 7+ years of development experience developing and maintaining production grade software (5+ years for Master’s).
      • 3+ years working on cloud-based or on-demand software solutions.
      • Excellent OOD, Java, and SQL skills.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
      • Experience with Angular, JavaScript, REST/XML/JSON, Spring Boot, Maven, Jenkins, GitHub.
      • Experience working with Unix/Linux environments.
      • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
      • Experience with SAP products and technologies such as HANA and S/4HANA a plus but not required.
      • Must be able to work onsite in Palo Alto.

      Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 177900 - 392000 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
