      Job Description

      The Director, Benefits & Total Rewards operates as the subject matter expert on all health, wellness, and wealth accumulation global matters as well as supports other total rewards initiatives. Most specifically, this leader is responsible for designing, deploying, and executing global benefit initiatives. Additionally, this SME leads regional needs assessments and manages relationships with HR colleagues as well as managers and employees.

      In addition to benefits, this role will be responsible for global mobility as well as the management of our global PEO processes.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Provide guidance to regional total rewards managers and local HR regarding global benefits principles and processes. Examples include but are not limited to benefit design strategies and analysis, plan renewals, policies, benefits at termination, peer company principles, and position-to-market principles.
      • Drives project leadership or participation in the design and administration of benefit programs, development, and implementation of communication materials and tools/websites/etc., and ensures programs align with the organization’s principles and financial capabilities.
      • Serve as the liaison to our key benefit external partnerships to ensure company principles and expectations are being met.
      • Prepare annual project plan and operating budget; monitor plan expenditures throughout the year.
      • Develop and prepare scorecards, metrics, and reports for management.
      • Lead committees as needed in conjunction with business stakeholders (e.g., US 401k committee, etc.).
      • Identification of development needs by working with the global team to differentiate the local high-priority business need versus regional or global priorities, then prioritizing and executing against those needs in a cohesive and coordinated manner.
      • Create and execute a development plan to build capability in support of global total rewards programs and utilizing global tools and processes.
      • Manage PEO processes to ensure compliance with policies as well as optimize the employee experience.
      • Manage the mobility process and ensure the offerings provided to are adhered to.
      • Primary contact for peer group forums and other technical associations.
      • Keep abreast of market trends and provide a current and long-term vision for benefit programs – by industry, country, region, and/or globally.

      This role can work hybrid (3 days/week onsite) from either our San Mateo, CA (HQ), Bellevue, WA, or Denver, CO locations.

      Qualifications

      Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

      • Bachelor’s Degree required; preferred in Business Administration, Human Resources, or similar fields.
      • 10+ years’ experience in managing a variety of benefits programs across multiple countries
      • Proven experience in the design, implementation, and communication of global benefit programs for countries in which we operate

      Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

      • Strong knowledge of benefits practices in the high-tech industry highly desirable
      • Experience in these is a plus: total rewards, compensation, mobility, and PEO
      • Leadership, influencing, and strong communication skills
      • Self-driven and strategic in thought processes

      Additional Information

      The annual base salary for this role is $174,720 - $218,400.

      Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills and level. Bonus/equity may be available.
