      Director, Global Engagement, Center for Inclusive Growth

      Overview:
      The Center for Inclusive Growth is the philanthropic hub at Mastercard. The organization seeks to ensure that the benefits of an expanding economy accrue to all segments of society. Through actionable research, impact data science, programmatic grants, stakeholder engagement and global partnerships, the Center advances equitable and sustainable economic growth and financial inclusion around the world. The Center’s work is at the heart of Mastercard’s objective to be a force for good in the world.

      The Director, Global Engagement is a new role that plays a significant part in linking and leveraging the work, global partnerships, and network of the Center to support MA’s social impact, business, and policy objectives.

      Role:
      The role will involve strategic planning and project management to ensure we are optimizing our engagement with global platforms and events for the strongest outcomes across MA. These will include the World Economic Forum Annual Meetings in Davos, multilateral events, the Global Inclusive Growth Summit, and other events such as Aspen, Milken and multilateral identified as strategically important opportunities across the pillars of social impact, policy, business. It will further need to work closely with marketing and communications teams to ensure MA shows up strongly at these marquee moments.
      Day to day this role will manage the strategic partnership with the World Economic Forum involving close working with the OCEO and other senior leadership. It will require close co-ordination with policy, public sector, localization and Center teams and strong business and political judgment.
      Working directly to the SVP, External Engagement this role will play a crucial co-ordination role, looking across the organization, prioritizing engagements, and focusing on outcomes.

      All About You:
      Executive experience that demonstrates public and private sector knowledge and policy understanding
      Leadership, judgement and strategic-visioning skills, including exceptional project management skills
      A track record of formulating and successfully implementing a strategic plan
      Strong writing, communications and executive presence – ability to manage executive relationships with strong judgment and discretion.

      A detail-oriented problem solver, responsible for managing in a complex environment that requires excellent communication skills, the ability to nurture meaningful relationships and the credibility to have license to operate from the perspectives of Mastercard’s executive leadership

      Creative, opportunistic and capable of formulating ideas and implementing tactics that will deepen the Center’s expertise.

      Thrives in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds and a sense of urgency; able to effectively manage people, processes and relationships in order to meet tight deadlines with high quality work products
      Has a diverse network who can help inform and guide the work of the role; able to draw upon multi-disciplinary relationships across a spectrum of issue areas and levels

      Integrity, high ethical standards, empathy and the ability to command respect from superiors, peers and subordinates

      Entrepreneurial ability and comfort operating with ambiguity

      A demonstrated commitment to doing good with a solid reputation related to social purpose or a related field
      Cross-sector work experience in the public sector, philanthropy, multilaterals, and private sector a plus
      Experienced leading people, projects and campaigns

      In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
